~ Ramblings ~
I don't think that I can say that I've been working that hard...but it feels like it! I baked a cake last night for the grands. I had forgotten that the bundt pan I used was a bit smaller than others and about half-way through the baking process, you guessed it! I smelled something burning....yep, the cake was overflowing. I hurriedly placed a cookie sheet on the rack underneath and good thing I did...a LOT of the cake was burned. So today, I've cleaned the oven. A thrill? NOT! :-)
I'm not sure of the "why" but I seem to have several projects going and nothing completed. Do you ever do this? I see so many that post their wonderful talents and here I am, 1/4 or 1/2 way through something...or everything. How do you do it? Perhaps I'm just totally unorganized? I used to be exceptionally organized...and really, in a few areas I still am. I haven't been home a lot this week so I think I'll use that excuse! :-)
The weather is gorgeous although we're about 10-12 degrees above the average for this time of year. I could live with months of this and be totally happy! Just so wonderful to see sunshine daily and be able to enjoy being outside. Flowers? No, that's one of my "to do" items. :/
A good friend of mine had a stroke last week. She's doing well now, out of the hospital and in a rehab center to assist in therapy. Of course, none of us think this could or would happen to us but it is a wake-up call for sure! Another friend had a medical procedure on Tuesday morning so I picked her up from the surgery center and took her home. God is good 'cause both are ok!
My high school reunion is drawing ever closer...am I prepared? No! Should I be fretting about it? No! I honestly don't think that many will appear younger than I do, I know a lot will have grey hair or no hair, and some will have gained weight. Ok, then why am I concerned? :-) Unless a person has had a ton of cosmetic surgery, we will all have changed from those days of sock hops, (dating myself for sure!) proms, cheer leading, football, track, you name it.
Funny how we still want to look the same when that's not really possible.
A dear friend was here last weekend from the Lubbock area. It's always so great to spend time with her. She assisted in a workshop in Dallas over the weekend, however, we got together last Thursday and then again on Monday. So much fun!
I hope you've had a wonderful week and look forward to a fun and safe weekend! It's so great that we can do more outside isn't it?

~ No longer a Virgin! ~
Gotcha!!!
I wanted to let you know that I'm no longer a "virgin" as far as painting furniture. ;-) So many of you are truly amazing with a paint brush and have completed incredible projects all around your house, inside, outside, you name it. Don't laugh ~ I'm beginning to get the hang of this, believe it or not!
This table was purchased some time ago at a local consignment store...very little money but I don't remember how much. Anyway, I figured it was a good piece to begin. I started with the "free" paint I got at Ace Hardware (see earlier post). The color is a very soft turquoise tone with a hint of like seafoam in it. The brand is Clark + Kensington and the color Diamond Lake. It's a new formula Ace is promoting and has the primer added.
This is the poor little table before:
She does have pretty legs doesn't she?
Please forgive the poor photography ~ cloudy & rainy days here.
I am trying to decide what I'm going to do to finish her. If any of you pros have suggestions, I'm open! I have a couple of ideas but nothing solid yet.
I'm joining ~

~ Free Paint! ~
A friend advised me late last Saturday (she forgot!) that Ace Hardware was offering a free quart of their newest paint line, Clark + Kensington, all day. I dressed and ran to my nearest store in the midst of a monsoon and yay! it was true. HOWEVER, she did not tell me a coupon was needed. :-)
The folks at the store were more than accomodating and said "of course, there will be a coupon for you at check out" and yes, a FREE can of beatiful paint....regularly $14.99.
Ok, for all of lucky people, they are offering this giveaway tomorrow also! Here's the info ~ Ace Hardware.
This formula combines paint and primer and there are some gorgeous colors! I hope you are able to take advantage of this great offer ~
Set the alarm and get up early and go get the paint! Then start celebrating St. Patty's Day! ;-)

~ PicMonkey ~

Farmgirl Paints posted about a new photo editing site ~ PicMonkey. I tried it for a bit and it appears to be easy. That's saying a lot from someone that is technology challenged! :-) Seems few folks from Picnik decided to create their own website. You will probably just love it so go ahead and try it!

~ Frustrated ~
For those of you that don't know me or haven't seen a photo, this is really not me! But....it's what I'm turning into with these "word verifications" on blogs. Help me, Rhonda, help me! The images are very difficult to decipher and sometimes one has to try 2-3 times to leave a response on a blog. That is not fun! My eyes are crossing and I'm beginning to utter profanity ~
Seriously, word verification is NOT needed. You can elect to approve all comments if you'd like. I had a bit of spam when I first began blogging but it was minor and none at all now. I know you realize that "time" is a huge factor for all....and saving time by NOT having word verification would benefit everyone. Some of us with more "mature" eyes would just love you to death if you would remove it from your blogs. :-)
Thanks a million times over!!

~ Blog Highlight ~
Are you planning a St. Pat's Day celebration?
Then stop by Robin's blog, Bird on a Cake. Check out her Key Lime Shamrock Cake! It's beautiful and I know it must taste divine. Anything with "key lime" in it is drool worthy to me. :-)
She's extremely talented in cake decorating and cupcakes too. You'll find a lot to drool over ~

~ Blog Help ~
My computer is really not sick at the moment, however, I do need a bit of help.
Do any of you know "why" we, or at least, I cannot update My Blog List? I so want to add some blogs I'm following and delete a couple that are no longer active.
Are you a talented person that knows how to create blog buttons?
What resource do you use to enhance photos?
And last, but not least, do you know why Ty Pennington always shouts? :-)
Thanks in advance for any assistance you might offer!
